The treatment

What prenatal massage is — and why it works.

Prenatal massage is adapted, certified bodywork for the pregnant body: side-lying and supported positioning, pressure calibrated for pregnancy, and full awareness of what each trimester asks for and rules out.

Beyond the table, sessions include guided at-home exercises for the aches pregnancy brings — low back, hips, swelling, sleep. Marusa is certified in prenatal work and treats it as the careful specialty it is.

Questions

Prenatal Massage, answered.

When in pregnancy is massage safe?

Most clients begin after the first trimester; earlier sessions are possible with OB clearance. Bring any guidance your provider has given.

What position will I be in?

Supported side-lying with full cushioning — no flat-on-back positioning in later pregnancy, and never face-down pressure on the belly.

How firm is the pressure?

Moderate and adapted — deep abdominal and certain point work are avoided entirely per prenatal protocol.

Do you see prenatal clients across the Valley?

Yes — Sherman Oaks, Studio City, Encino, and North Hollywood, plus Burbank, Glendale, Beverly Hills, Bel Air, and Los Angeles.
